damaged sidewalk concrete curb

The other day I was talking to one of our customers about a new parking lot he was putting in. When I suggested he install our 100% Recycled Parking Blocks as he's done at other locations, he said to me "I'm having concrete curbs/gutters installed around the perimeter and the sidewalk makes a curb...do I even need them?"

What an excellent question! Knowing that when parking blocks are not used cars will damage the concrete and leading to them being replaced sooner than they should...I did some quick math for him on the cost of putting in new curbs/gutters and sidewalks

  • The approximate cost of installing 120sqft of sidewalk (40ft long x 3ft wide) = $1,000

  • If 6 parking spaces are placed along this... (7.5ft wide parking spaces)

  • The cost of parking blocks to protect this sidewalk = $245.94 (have I mentioned these have a lifetime warranty?)

But what about parking lots that that have their parking spaces around the perimeter?

  • The approximate cost of installing 135 linear feet of curbing/gutter = $2,700

  • If 18 parking spaces are placed along this... (7.5ft wide parking spaces)

  • The cost of parking blocks to protect this curbing = $737.82

So although there may be an initial added expense to install our 100% Recycled Plastic Parking Blocks

The increased lifespan of your concrete curbs and sidewalks more than pays for itself over time.
